My wife and I joined the Breakfast Club on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Hotel Dos Rios Volcán. An additional 11-12 others joined us.
The atmosphere of the restaurant/hotel was colorful and spacious. There are lots of windows to show off the spectacular landscape. The group was given the option of a couple of different seating locations. We chose a long table with a great view of the outdoor flowers, birds, and the weather.
The prices were reasonable until I got to the omelet, at which point they jumped to $8.00. That was supposed to include toast, corn tortilla, or hojaldres. The coffee came out first and was pretty good. However, when I received my omelet and hash browns, they were cold, and I could only eat about half of them. I also did not receive any of the extras that were supposed to come with it (toast, corn tortilla, or hojaldres). I heard others say that their meal was also cold.

The atmosphere was very enjoyable, but the food was not to die for. My wife and I have had lunch there a few times, and we’ll order takeout pizza on occasion. However, we always ask for minimal cheese on our pizza, and they don’t seem to understand. A much better choice for pizza, by the way, is Fanny’s Restaurant.
